Meet BlurData

BlurData is a Mac application for removing personal information from PDFs, scans, and screenshots. Users drop in a file or folder, review automatically detected details, adjust the selection, and export a cleaned copy. Detection and processing run on the device, and the application supports custom patterns alongside built-in categories such as names, email addresses, and account numbers.

A separate pseudonymization mode replaces selected information with consistent labels, keeping a local key that connects those labels to the original values. This can preserve the relationships in a document when sharing it for analysis. Document presets and batch processing help apply similar choices across repeated workflows.
