Host persistent AI agents in individual virtual machines.
Run coding agents on isolated cloud copies of your development environment.

boxes.dev gives coding agents separate Linux computers in the cloud, prepared from a developer's existing environment. A setup workflow produces a plan for review before moving the environment, then creates a snapshot that can start fresh workspaces. Agents can keep working while the developer's laptop is closed.
Tasks can begin through Slack, Linear, a schedule, or an API call. Users can return to the same thread to review results, approve requests, inspect changes, or open a terminal from supported interfaces. The service works with existing Codex or Claude subscriptions and puts separate pieces of work into their own cloud environments.
