Keep your AI assistant’s memory in local Markdown files
Keep useful project memory available across AI coding sessions.

claude-mem preserves decisions, discoveries, and fixes from supported AI coding sessions as structured project memory. Instead of repeatedly supplying an entire conversation, an agent can search for relevant notes and load the details it needs. The notes retain source context so developers can revisit why a change was made.
The open-source engine keeps a local database. CMEM Pro adds hosted observation, cloud synchronization, and a private MCP connection for recalling that history from other supported tools and computers. Capture and recall capabilities vary by integration; connecting a client such as ChatGPT does not automatically record all of its conversations.
