Meet cmmnts

cmmnts adds a comment section to websites through an embeddable widget. Site owners create a site in its administration console, assign a page identifier, and include the provided markup. It works with pages that render HTML, including sites built with common JavaScript frameworks, without requiring a matching frontend stack.

The widget supports threaded replies, Markdown, mentions, emoji, images, and GIFs. Readers can use supported social sign-ins or comment anonymously when that option is enabled. Administrators can require approval, review flagged spam, block users, hide a discussion, or disable new comments. The service has a free hosted plan with limits on sites, pages, comments, and moderators, while the open-source code also supports operating a self-hosted installation.
