Meet Damus

Damus is a social application built on the open Nostr protocol. People follow others and exchange posts through independently operated relays, using an account that does not require a phone number, email address, or real name. Compatible Nostr applications can use the same social identity.

Mobile apps and the Notedeck desktop client provide different ways to take part. Bitcoin Lightning tips let participants support creators or other people in the network. The project publishes its source code, and Purple membership provides a way to support development. Users select their connections and participate in conversations through the client while the protocol connects them with the wider network.
