Meet Dictoterix

Dictoterix is a language-learning service built around listening to paired sentences in two languages. With headphones, the familiar language and the language being learned are played in separate ears; a speaker mode uses on-screen text for the familiar-language context. Practice sentences are generated around vocabulary the learner is working with.

The service combines listening with activities for words, verb forms, drawing, and spoken practice, while a progress map helps organize further sessions. Learners create an account to continue their work across visits. Dictoterix presents its listening format as an immersive alternative to conventional drills, with free access to repeated practice rather than a fixed daily lesson limit.
