Encrypt files locally using identities or passwords

DotBGE is a file encryption app built around the open .bge format. Users can protect a file for a particular recipient by exchanging identities through a QR code, or encrypt it with a password. Encryption runs on the device, and the app includes a vault protected by device biometrics.
The mobile apps support system sharing and in-app previews of decrypted photos, documents, and videos. A command-line tool supports scripting and batch workflows on macOS and Linux. Files remain compatible across supported platforms because the format is publicly documented. Everyday encryption and decryption are available free, while paid features expand batch handling, folder encryption, vault capacity, and identity management.
