Dots are personal AI agents in ChatGPT that help carry projects forward between conversations. Each dot has its own cloud computer and browser, connects to apps the user permits, and learns preferences from shared context and feedback. People can delegate research, document preparation, data analysis, coding tasks, or recurring work, then review progress and give further direction.

A dot can work on several projects while keeping track of the broader goal. Users can message or call it through ChatGPT on desktop, web, and mobile, and continue conversations in Slack or Microsoft Teams. Permissions and custom rules define what it can access and when approval is required. Activity View helps users inspect ongoing work, review results, change direction, or pause a task.
