Meet eCash
eCash is an open-source cryptocurrency and payment network built for sending digital money directly between people. Its native currency, XEC, can be held in compatible wallets and used for online payments or transfers without a bank account. The network combines proof-of-work mining with Avalanche consensus technology and supports the creation of tokens and NFTs.
Users can start with a wallet such as Cashtab, while merchants can add payment tools such as PayButton to a website. For developers, eCash provides node software, the Chronik blockchain indexer, and libraries for building applications that read network data or create transactions.
