Echolon

Test REST and WebSocket APIs with local collections, Git integration, and configurable mock servers.

Website

Meet Echolon

Echolon is an API client that stores collections, environments, and settings in local files. Developers can send REST and WebSocket requests, configure authentication, inspect responses, and work with variables at different scopes. Its editor includes content previews, JSON-Path filtering, and validation against OpenAPI specifications.

Built-in Git tools let teams review differences, switch branches, and commit collection changes through their existing repositories. Local and cloud mock servers can return configured bodies, headers, status codes, and delays while a backend is being developed. Echolon also imports collections from other clients, accepts cURL commands, and can publish API documentation. The core client is free and available across desktop platforms and the web.
