Generate API documentation, typed SDKs, and MCP servers from shared specifications

Meet Cortex Docs

Cortex Docs is an open-source toolchain for turning API specifications and Markdown into developer-facing and agent-facing interfaces. A project can combine supported formats such as OpenAPI, AsyncAPI, GraphQL, gRPC, and OpenRPC, validate the contracts, and generate interactive documentation, typed client libraries, and MCP tools from the same configuration.

Generated documentation includes searchable guides, examples, and request exploration. SDK generation supplies language-specific clients with capabilities such as authentication, retries, and streaming, while MCP output packages tools with relevant specifications and guides. Teams can customize templates, publish packages to their own registries, and host the generated documentation themselves. The MIT-licensed project is useful when several API delivery surfaces need to remain aligned.
