NovaVoice
Dictate, rewrite, and act across desktop apps by voice
Dictate, ask questions, and rewrite selected text with Windows hotkeys.

Flunkey is a free, open-source voice assistant for Windows built around three hotkeys. F8 turns speech into text at the cursor, F9 opens an AI conversation, and F10 rewrites selected text from a spoken instruction. Dictation modes range from verbatim transcription to cleanup with formatting appropriate to the active application.
Users can add vocabulary and correction rules, ask questions about a selected screen with a vision-capable model, and keep follow-up conversations in local history. Local Whisper and Ollama options support an on-device setup, while cloud providers can be configured with personal API keys. The app installs through Microsoft Store and works across existing writing and development tools.
