Project plans that connect tasks, owners and deadlines
Keep project trackers current from plain-language updates

Footnote is an open-source project tracker that runs on your computer and can update the tools where a team already keeps its work. Describe an ordinary change, such as finishing a logo and starting a landing page, and Footnote can mark one task complete and move the other into progress. It keeps a record of who did what, along with progress figures that can feed a status report. Teams can use familiar destinations such as Obsidian, Notion, Google Sheets or GitHub Issues instead of moving everyone to another project dashboard.
