Meet GetCompress

GetCompress is a desktop utility for reducing the size of videos, images, GIFs, and PDFs on the user's own device. Files can be dropped into a batch queue, processed with reusable presets, and adjusted individually for quality, dimensions, or a target size. Preview and trimming tools help prepare media before export.

Workflow options include a small drop zone, clipboard processing, watched folders, and automatic copying of completed files. On macOS, Finder actions, keyboard shortcuts, Raycast, and Shortcuts provide additional entry points. An MCP server and extensible command-line integrations support automated workflows. Versions are offered for Mac, Windows, and Linux; available formats and compression results depend on the selected file and settings.
