Meet GHOSTYPE
GHOSTYPE is a macOS voice-input application that inserts dictated text into the application being used. Holding a shortcut starts speech input, and releasing it inserts the result. Optional polishing refines longer phrases, while spoken corrections and instructions can reshape the output without selecting and rewriting text manually.
Different applications can use different writing profiles, such as a formal email style or concise chat messages. Translation shortcuts, voice notes, and searchable input history extend the workflow beyond ordinary dictation. The history keeps both original and polished versions for review. Optional per-app send shortcuts can submit a message after dictation when the user enables that behavior.
