Meet Voicr

Voicr combines dictation, voice notes, and text revision in a small Mac app. Users hold a keyboard shortcut to speak into any text field, then release it to insert the transcription. A separate shortcut records a thought as a local note, while another opens writing tools for selected text in the current application.

Transcription runs on the Mac, and the app requires no account. Users can add custom instructions for wording, grammar, tone, translation, or other writing tasks and choose how the optional writing tools process text. Voicr is free and supports Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 14 or later.
