Explore large letterforms composed of smaller text

Letterbox is a browser-based typography playground that builds large letterforms out of smaller text. Users enter the characters they want to display and choose a typeface, weight, and style for the overall result. The workspace presents the generated letters in a grid, making it easy to compare their shapes and the texture created inside them.
Controls adjust the fill size, capitalization, fill mode, column count, and foreground and background colors. These options let designers explore how dense text behaves as a visual material rather than only as something to read. Letterbox is useful for experimenting with expressive initials, alphabet studies, and typographic directions before developing a larger composition.
