Meet Local Office
Local Office lets a user question scans, PDFs and Office documents on their own computer. After an initial model download, the application can work offline and cite the page behind an answer. A studio reviewing a supplier, for example, can compare a purchase order with a contract and ask whether the identification numbers match. The citations make it possible to open the pages and inspect the discrepancy before acting on it. The open-source application is available for Mac, Windows and Linux, and keeps the files on the device.
