Macky

Access your Mac desktop and terminal from an iPhone

Meet Macky

Macky connects an iPhone or iPad to a Mac for remote desktop and terminal access. Users install the Mac host and mobile app, then approve the connecting device. The service uses WebRTC connections and provides access to native shells such as zsh and bash alongside the remote desktop.

Device allowlisting and a separate master password add controls around terminal access. The setup is designed to avoid manual SSH key management and opening an inbound SSH port. Macky is useful for checking a running process, working with command-line tools, or accessing a Mac application while away from the computer, using a mobile interface.
