MinkNote

Meet MinkNote

MinkNote is a native Mac application for organizing notes, journals, and projects. It stores writing as standard Markdown files in local folders, so the same material can be opened in other editors. Users can work in rich text or Markdown, add tables and images, and navigate between their writing with keyboard shortcuts.

Projects, journals, folders, tags, and favorites provide ways to group material without requiring a custom database. Search and links help reconnect older notes with current work, whether the collection contains study material, meeting decisions, code snippets, or personal writing. Moving notes keeps related attachments together. MinkNote requires macOS Sequoia 15 or later; its file-based approach leaves access to the underlying writing independent of the app.
