Notchkin
Capture and organize local notes in a compact Mac notch panel
Meet Notchkin
Notchkin is a Mac notes app that opens from the notch area at the top of the display. Keyboard shortcuts create a new note or turn clipboard contents into one, while search and hashtags help retrieve earlier entries. Notes support rich text, lists, and checklists, with pinning, sharing, and duplication for frequently used material.
Everything is stored locally, and the app keeps daily snapshots of recent notes. Individual notes can be exported as Markdown or rich text, while a full library can be backed up in portable formats. Notchkin works on Macs without a physical notch through a similar panel and supports multiple connected displays on macOS 14 or later.
