Managed Postgres and MySQL databases with scaling options
A serverless Postgres platform with database branching

Neon provides a cloud backend built around Lakebase Postgres. Its database separates storage and compute, with autoscaling to adjust resources and branching to create independent environments. A development team can branch the database for a change, inspect that environment, and restore or discard it as the work progresses.
Managed authentication, S3-compatible object storage, serverless functions, and an AI Gateway sit alongside the database. Command-line tools, SDKs, and MCP access let developers and coding agents provision or manage the infrastructure. These services can support a new application or a backend environment associated with a pull request, keeping related resources in the same project.
