Meet Notesnook

Notesnook is a notebook app that encrypts your notes before synchronizing them between desktop, web, and mobile devices. Write in an editor with tables, code blocks, equations, and attachments, then organize the material with notebooks, tags, and backlinks. A web clipper brings articles and images into the collection for offline reading.

The apps and sync server are open source. App locking and a separately protected vault add controls on the device, while published-note links let you share an individual note, optionally behind a password. Reminders can bring a note back later, and the Inbox API lets other tools submit material into your collection.
