Build automated video-editing workflows and motion graphics
Edit existing footage through AI instructions and a timeline you can refine manually.

OpenChatCut combines conversational video editing with a conventional timeline. Creators import their footage, audio, and images, then describe changes such as arranging clips, adding captions, placing music, or adjusting transitions. The resulting work remains on separate tracks, where users can preview it, change settings, move clips, and undo individual steps.
The open-source edition works with local projects and configurable model services, including connections to external agents through MCP. A separate Pro desktop edition adds features such as transcript editing, recording, and local models. Both approaches center on refining existing media into an exportable cut while retaining a project that can be revised later.
