Meet OpenYak

OpenYak is a desktop AI agent that works with a selected local folder. Users describe an outcome, then follow the agent as it reads files, plans steps, and runs tools. Results appear as concrete artifacts such as reports, tables, documents, and activity logs alongside the conversation.

Built-in tools cover file editing, shell tasks, parsing, browsing, and workspace memory. Users can choose cloud providers, bring their own credentials, or connect local models through Ollama. MCP connectors extend access to other services, and communication channels support recurring team workflows. Project-scoped Markdown memory keeps relevant context available across sessions, while visible progress helps users review what the agent has done.
