Meet Paddock

Paddock creates Linux desktop environments where AI agents can run applications, use a browser, and work with files. It is an open-source system hosted on a server the user controls, with a dashboard, command-line tools, an HTTP API, and TypeScript and Python SDKs. Each environment can retain its files and desktop between runs.

Developers can create a box for a task, configure network access and time limits, and connect a supported coding agent. Snapshots allow work to be resumed, forked, or rolled back, while separate drives can preserve data beyond an individual box. Desktop screenshots and remote access make it possible to inspect what the agent is doing during a workflow.
