Message and call through encrypted peer-to-peer connections
Use encrypted iPhone messaging without sharing a phone number or email

Phantom Chat is an iPhone messenger that lets users register with a username instead of a phone number or email address. Contacts connect through invitation codes or QR codes, without a public username directory. The app provides end-to-end encrypted conversations and disappearing-message options.
A free tier supports one-to-one chats, while paid options add features such as private groups, additional message timers, themes, and account-reset controls. Identity keys use the iPhone's Secure Enclave, and the developer documents its encryption approach and limitations on the official site. The released iPhone app is separate from planned additions such as Android support and network-routing features.
