Meet Photon

Photon is an open-source framework for bringing AI agents into messaging services people already use. It connects agent workflows to interfaces including iMessage, WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, Discord, and SMS or RCS through a shared development model. Developers handle incoming events and responses while the framework manages the differences between supported communication channels.

The framework supports richer interactions such as media, reactions, group conversations, and locations where the underlying service allows them. Conversation history, logging, and human review controls help teams inspect what an agent is doing during development and operation. Photon is currently presented as a beta, so developers should check the capabilities of each channel before designing a production workflow.
