Meet Plae

Plae is a Mac menu bar translation app with a global keyboard shortcut. Users type a message, choose the languages, and translate without opening a browser. A full-screen presentation mode makes the result easier to show to another person across a desk or during an in-person conversation.

The app offers Apple Translation, supported Apple Intelligence capabilities, and downloadable local translation models. Language availability and system requirements depend on the selected engine, with offline use after the necessary downloads. Recent translations are retained in history, and favorites can be kept for later. A trial provides access before a one-time App Store purchase.
