Route, observe, and apply policies to AI agent traffic

Plano is an open-source proxy and data plane for applications built with AI agents. It handles tasks such as routing requests to models or agents, collecting traces, and applying policy or guardrail hooks. Developers can connect it to their chosen language and framework while keeping application logic separate from this infrastructure.
A configuration file describes supported prompts, connected APIs, and model choices. Teams can use Plano to centralize access controls, add context-processing filters, and inspect interactions across a multi-agent system. On-premises deployment is available for environments that need direct control over their infrastructure. The project is designed to make agent applications easier to operate beyond an initial prototype.
