Meet Preloop
Preloop is an open-source platform for managing AI agents and the tools they use. It combines an MCP firewall, a model gateway, policy rules, human approvals, session visibility, and audit records. A command-line tool discovers compatible local agents and routes their connections through the platform without requiring changes to the agent's application code.
Teams can allow, deny, or require approval for a tool call based on its arguments. Spending controls attribute model usage to agents or workflows and apply configured budgets. The platform can be self-hosted, giving teams control over their credentials, infrastructure, and operational records.
