Explore personal finances through a local command-line assistant

Ray is an open-source personal finance tool that runs from the command line. Users connect financial accounts, review balances and spending, and ask questions about their own transaction history. A persistent profile keeps track of goals, preferences, and earlier decisions so later conversations can use that context instead of starting over.
The app includes account summaries, spending analysis, goal tracking, and checks for unusual transactions. Financial history is stored in an encrypted local database, while bank synchronization and AI chat can involve external providers; local storage does not mean every operation stays offline. Ray offers a bring-your-own-credentials setup and a managed plan. Its AI output remains informational and may need correction.
