Keep a shared scratch file across Macs without losing edits

Meet Rune

Rune is a small text editor for Mac built around a scratch file in iCloud Drive. It saves while you type, keeps a local recovery journal, and makes the same file available on your other Macs. When two computers change the text, the app merges the differences or shows them for review, helping avoid a silent overwrite. A sync view explains whether work has reached the disk and the cloud, while local version history provides a way to revisit earlier text. Rune suits quick notes, temporary drafts, and fragments that need to follow you between computers without the setup of a larger knowledge-management system.
