Meet Scriptyard
Scriptyard is a spatial planning tool for screenwriters and other storytellers. It provides an infinite canvas where users arrange cards and backdrops to map characters, locations, scenes, and narrative structure. Moving these elements around helps explore how parts of a story connect before committing to a linear manuscript or screenplay.
When an outline is ready, users can export it to Markdown, Fountain, or Final Draft and continue writing in another tool. The browser application is free and does not require an account or subscription. Its official site states that story material is not saved on a server, making local saving and exports an important part of keeping a project available.
