Shortwave combines an email inbox with an AI assistant and tools for working through messages as a team. Users can ask questions about email and attachments, draft replies, schedule events, and create filters using ordinary language. Inbox tabs and bundles separate important conversations from newsletters, promotions, and other incoming mail.

Messages can become tasks with priorities and notes, while delivery schedules reduce interruptions. Shared threads, private comments, assignments, and shared labels help teammates coordinate without forwarding long chains. Saved prompts and snippets reuse common responses. Shortwave is available across desktop and mobile, with optional integrations that connect email work to other applications.
