Stardew Valley is a farming and life game that begins with inheriting an overgrown farm near Pelican Town. Clear the land, grow crops, raise animals, fish, and craft items as you develop the property. Decorations and character options let you shape the farm and home. The town provides people to befriend and eligible characters to date or start a family with. Caves introduce a different activity, with monsters and materials to find underground. Days divide between those choices, so a farming routine, town relationships, and exploration can each receive a different share of the player's time.
