Manage remote shells and files from Android with resumable sessions
Keep terminal sessions running and organize work across panes

tmux is a free, open-source terminal multiplexer for running multiple shells and programs within a single terminal. It groups work into sessions, windows, and panes, letting developers keep an editor, build output, and logs visible together. Sessions can be detached and reattached later, so programs on a running server continue even when an SSH connection drops.
Users can switch between projects, resize or rearrange panes, search previous terminal output, and connect multiple clients to the same session. Configurable shortcuts and status displays adapt the workspace to personal preferences, while shell commands and scripts automate repeatable setups. tmux works with existing terminal emulators on Linux, macOS, BSD systems, and other supported Unix platforms.
