Meet Ableton Live

Ableton Live is software for producing music and performing it. Session View lets you trigger and combine audio or MIDI clips, while Arrangement View lays out a composition on a timeline. A performance can become an arrangement for further editing, connecting experimentation with the development of a track.

Instruments, samplers, MIDI tools, and audio effects support recording, sound design, and mixing. Warping adjusts audio timing and tempo, and controller mapping connects physical controls to the software. Supported editions include Max for Live for custom devices and extensions. Musicians can use the same project as material for a finished recording or a live set.
