Search and reuse conversation history across AI coding tools.

chat-recall turns saved conversations from AI coding tools into a shared, searchable history. A command-line setup reads existing session files and masks credentials locally before indexing the processed content. The index can run on a self-hosted server or the hosted service, and assistants query it through MCP.
Users can search from the terminal or ask an assistant about past work directly. Results help recover unfinished tasks, trace decisions, and find the conversation behind a change. Project task cards preserve links to the sessions, files, and outcomes involved. By using one history across supported tools, chat-recall helps carry context from one coding assistant to another.
