Sipcode is an open-source command-line tool for understanding how Claude Code and OpenAI Codex use tokens. It reads locally stored session logs to summarize activity, estimate costs, identify repeated context, and compare usage across sessions and projects. Codex reports also interpret the usage-limit readings already recorded in its logs.
Developers can investigate an expensive session, compare behavior around tool updates, and look for changes against their own baseline. An optional Claude Code hook reduces bulky command output before it enters the conversation; Codex analysis remains read-only. Reports run on the user's computer, with no account needed for the core local workflow.
