Meet ClaudeUsageBar

ClaudeUsageBar is a free, open-source macOS menu bar app for monitoring Claude and Claude Code usage. A compact popup shows session and weekly limits, reset times, and available extra usage information. Notifications at configurable usage milestones help users notice when they are approaching a limit, while a service-status indicator reports disruptions to Claude services.

The app uses a locally stored session cookie to retrieve usage data and offers an optional keyboard shortcut for opening the popup. It supports Apple Silicon and Intel Macs and can be installed directly or through Homebrew. ClaudeUsageBar is useful for keeping usage information visible while working in other applications.
