Solace

Adjust Mac appearance, wallpapers, and screen warmth with the day

Meet Solace

Solace is a Mac menu bar app that coordinates light and dark appearance, wallpaper changes, and display warmth. Users can follow local sunrise and sunset, set their own schedule, or adjust the timing with offsets. Separate wallpapers can be assigned to light and dark modes across connected displays.

Its Evening Warmth feature gradually changes the screen's color temperature on an independent schedule. Optional weather awareness can select dark mode on overcast days, while a keyboard shortcut provides an immediate manual toggle. Solace is intended for people who want their Mac's visual environment to adapt throughout the day from a single set of controls.
