Clean copied text formatting locally before pasting into Mac apps
Replace AI buzzwords with a chosen symbol in Chrome or through patched Mac fonts.

Enshittifier is a playful text-replacement project offered as a Chrome extension and a Mac app. The browser extension replaces occurrences of “AI” on webpages with a poop emoji or another chosen replacement, changing how the text appears locally while browsing. Its settings control the replacement behavior.
The Mac version takes a different approach by adding ligatures to font files, allowing letter combinations to render as the symbol in applications that use the patched font. Both projects publish their source code. The tool is intended as a visual joke about repetitive technology marketing, with the two versions providing different ways to apply the same idea.
