Keep multimedia notes in an open format and sync them across devices

Joplin is an open-source note-taking app for collecting writing, images, audio, videos, and attached documents. You can write in Markdown or a rich text editor, include mathematical expressions and diagrams, and save web pages with its browser clipper. Desktop, mobile, and terminal apps provide different ways to work with the same notebook.
Synchronization can use Joplin Cloud or services such as Dropbox and OneDrive, with optional end-to-end encryption. Joplin Cloud also supports shared notebooks and published note links. Plugins, themes, and an extension API let you adapt the editor, while the open note format supports moving or keeping your material outside a single service.
