SideNotes

Meet SideNotes

SideNotes keeps notes, tasks, links, and snippets in a panel at the edge of the Mac screen. Users can reveal it with a shortcut, a click, or a pointer gesture, capture something quickly, and return to the app they were using. Folders, colors, pinning, and collapsible notes help organize material without turning the panel into a separate workspace to manage.

Notes support Markdown formatting, images, file shortcuts, and checklists. Automatic backups and optional iCloud synchronization help keep the collection available, including through the separately sold iPhone and iPad app. Apple Shortcuts, AppleScript, and integrations with other Mac tools let users fit note capture into existing routines.
