Edit local Markdown files with optional agent collaboration

OpenMarkdown is a desktop Markdown editor that keeps notes as ordinary files on disk. It provides live formatting, a command palette, heading navigation, autosave, and restoration of tabs and cursor position. Users can organize a personal knowledge base without moving their documents into a proprietary database or creating an account.
The editor can also work with an existing AI agent through supported integrations and MCP clients. Agents can open relevant notes, read selected passages, and help revise the same files. It can serve as an external editor for longer command-line prompts. Downloads are available for macOS, Windows, and Linux; agent co-editing is currently supported on macOS and Linux, while the Windows edition provides the editor with that integration still planned.
