Keeby

Meet Keeby

Keeby is a Mac menu bar app that adds mechanical keyboard sounds to everyday typing. Its sound library uses recordings of real switches, with separate sounds for pressing and releasing keys. You can choose a switch, adjust the balance between deeper and sharper tones, and add subtle pitch variation so repeated keystrokes do not sound identical.

Spatial audio places keys toward the left or right speaker, while an optional miniature keyboard visualizer highlights your input. Keeby also supports mouse click sounds and quick controls from the menu bar. Keyboard processing and audio remain on the device. It is useful for people who enjoy tactile typing feedback while working on a laptop or another quiet keyboard.
