Notchling

Meet Notchling

Notchling adds a small animated creature around a Mac's notch and gives that space practical uses. Drag files, links, text, or screenshots near it to hold them temporarily, then drag them out when needed. The character responds to the cursor and computer states such as battery level, camera use, and Caps Lock.

It can also indicate when a Claude Code agent is waiting for attention and bring the relevant terminal forward. The free version includes the creature and basic holding functions. A paid edition adds utilities such as image conversion, on-device text recognition, timers, music controls, and weather scenes. It works on supported Macs with or without a physical notch.
