Turfs

Arrange Mac desktop files into folder, tag, and virtual collection areas.

Meet Turfs

Turfs organizes the Mac desktop into labeled areas with different filing behaviors. A folder-backed area moves items into a real folder, a tag-backed area shows matching files from across the Mac, and a virtual collection keeps references without moving the originals. Loose desktop icons can remain outside these groups.

Each area can be styled, collapsed into a narrow strip, shown on hover, or assigned to a desktop Space. Familiar Mac actions such as Quick Look, Get Info, dragging into apps, and moving items to the Trash remain available. Turfs runs locally without an account and restores the standard desktop when it quits. A trial is available before purchase.
