Meet note.md

note.md is a Mac research workspace combining a PDF reader, reference manager, Markdown editor, and writing environment. Researchers can organize papers, annotate passages, and write beside the source they are reading. Citations link back to supporting material, with BibTeX and APA tools available for preparing a draft and exporting references.

Notes remain plain Markdown files, with support for tables, LaTeX mathematics, bidirectional links, and a graph view connecting writing to sources. Optional premium features include semantic search and automated extraction of material from PDFs. AI indexing and retrieval run on the device, supporting searches across a local research collection. The app is designed to keep reading, evidence, and writing within one continuing workflow.
